Well for starter's, my name is Vera. I love life, especially the wonderful people you get to meet everyday and everything about the world. In life you either have to be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. I've spent most of my years being smart, but I recommend being pleasant. Most of my past life has always been rushing and speedy, barely being able to take a breath. Well, I've stopped now and am actually relaxed for the first time of my entire life. I now own acres and acres of land in the countryside, where the air is so clean and is so very peaceful. Since I moved to the countryside, I've now taken up photography and like everyone, I joined flickr. When ever is a good time for you please feel free and browse around at my captures. I'm not much of a blogger at all, actually I've never really done any blogging before unless flickr counts.? The only thing I do on the computer is research different topics and upload my photos on flickr.  

It's been said that pets help prevent depression, well I've taken that advice and have some. My pets are mostly cats and dogs, but I do have some others. I always wanted a farm but new it was too much work so I got a few farm animals, geese, goats and horses.

 Me being a retired music teacher, will often start playing a tune on the piano or just turn on the radio and listen to classical or some 70's-80's music. Since I am surrounded by beautiful landscapes I often find a nice shady spot and unfold my easel and begin painting. Another craft I enjoy doing is sculpting.
